Visitors are most welcome to come along to our rehearsals!

Chorus rehearsals are

every Monday at 7.15pm

St Johns Presbyterian Church Hall

188 Macquarie St, Hobart

in the centre of the city.

A typical rehearsal lasts about 21/2 hours, beginning with gentle physical warm ups before moving onto the risers to work on our vocal production. New songs and existing repertoire are then rehearsed, including choreo moves.

If you think you might like to join us, you will first be given a brief vocal assessment to determine which section you will be placed in - tenor, lead, baritone or bass.

You don't have to read music or have musical experience, but you will need to be able to sing in tune and blend in with the overall chorus sound.

Learning is primarily done by listening to learning tapes, but all members also receive sheet music in 4 part arrangement.  Prospective members will be asked to learn their part at home and in weekly rehearsals. When a prospective member feels she is ready, an audition using a riser tape completes the joining process.
